Ayesha Sood is a New Delhi-based filmmaker and has worked across independent cinema, documentary, and commercial storytelling for over two decades, and has produced a diverse and powerful body of work. She was the co-founder and Director of the Jamun Collective.
Her storytelling intersects form and formats, from the award-winning series The Dewarists and Toughest Men in India to the true-crime podcast Trial by Error: The Aarushi Files, as well as Indian Predator: The Butcher of Delhi, a gripping true-crime documentary on Netflix.
Most recently, she directed In Transit, a documentary series produced by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s Tiger Baby for Amazon Prime Video. It explores the lives of nine trans and non-binary individuals from across India, capturing their stories of love, identity, and self-expression in a uniquely Indian way.
Besides her love for film Ayesha is an obsessive tennis player, loves to indulge her cats, and meditates by cooking everyday.
